Lou is a certified SORA instructor and owner/president of Security Officer's Training Institute (SOTI). He has dedicated over 10 years of service as a police officer before becoming injured in the line of duty.

Now, he is dedicating his service to the community of professional security personnel.

Before he became a police officer, he graduated Seton Hall University with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice.

During his tenure as a police officer, he conducted several criminal investigations involving drug enforcement and drug extradition. He had an outstanding arrest/conviction record. He also conducted numerous SWAT investigations. Additionally, he has received several accolades for exceptional service as a police officer.

His career as a police officer has given him the knowledge and expertise in the following ares: conducting criminal investigations, interviewing techniques, lie detection, patrolling techniques, technical/SWAT deployments, interpersonal communication skills, report writing, emergency medical response and many more.
